You master skills for a swimming pool with attractions and in open water without currents or large waves, such as recreational lakes and wider canals/ditches (except in the sea). With this diploma, you meet the National Standard Swimming Safety.
In attaining the National Swimming Diploma C, your child shows that he or she:
Can orientate themselves above water with clothes on, after an unexpected fall into the water, by treading water, swim a long distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl), orientate underwater, swim through obstacles, and independently climb out of the water.
Can dive from the edge, orientate underwater, swim through obstacles underwater, and safely resurface.
Has excellent fitness to cover a long distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl).
Can execute the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl) with technical proficiency over a long distance.
Can swim towards a floating object with clothes on, and float on it to rest, and float on the back. Your child feels comfortable in the water.
Can tread water with arms and legs, simultaneously move, and switch to floating on the back to rest.

C1 Survival Test
Enter the water with a forward roll, followed by
