Swimming diploma C

You master skills for a swimming pool with attractions and in open water without currents or large waves, such as recreational lakes and wider canals/ditches (except in the sea). With this diploma, you meet the National Standard Swimming Safety.

The C diploma takes approximately 3 to 5 months.

The SKILLS

In attaining the National Swimming Diploma C, your child shows that he or she:
Can orientate themselves above water with clothes on, after an unexpected fall into the water, by treading water, swim a long distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl), orientate underwater, swim through obstacles, and independently climb out of the water.
Can dive from the edge, orientate underwater, swim through obstacles underwater, and safely resurface.
Has excellent fitness to cover a long distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl).
Can execute the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl) with technical proficiency over a long distance.
Can swim towards a floating object with clothes on, and float on it to rest, and float on the back. Your child feels comfortable in the water.
Can tread water with arms and legs, simultaneously move, and switch to floating on the back to rest.

Standard Examination Program for National Swimming Diploma C

C1 Survival Test

Enter the water with a forward roll, followed by
Treading water for 15 seconds, followed by
Remaining vertically afloat for 30 seconds using a floating object, followed by
Enter the water with a jump while keeping the head above water, followed by
Swimming 100 meters, interrupted by swimming under a floating object once and climbing over a floating object once, and complete the test by
Independently climbing out of the water onto the edge
Enter the water with a jump of choice, swim a few strokes, followed by
Going underwater for 1 meter through a hole in a vertically hanging canvas

C2 Underwater Orientation Test

Dive from the edge, followed by (without resurfacing)
Swimming underwater through a hole in a vertically hanging canvas located 6 meters from the starting edge, and complete the test by
Swimming to the surface, orientating, and resurfacing in a kind of hole

C3 Endurance Swimming Test

75 meters of breaststroke, interrupted by diving headward once, followed by
75 meters of elementary backstroke

C4 Breaststroke andBackstroke Test

15 meters of breaststroke (with competitive side breathing)
15 meters of backstroke

C5 Orientation and Movement Above Water Test

Enter the water from the edge with a jump of choice, followed by
Treading water for 30 seconds using arms and legs with movement in multiple directions, followed by
Floating on the back for 15 seconds, and complete the test by
Treading water for 30 seconds with legs
