You master skills for a swimming pool with attractions, such as a (wildwater) slide, a wave pool, and a rapid stream. Swimming diploma B is the intermediate step towards Swimming diploma C = National Standard Swimming Safety.
The B diploma takes approximately 2 to 3 months
The SKILLS
In attaining the National Swimming Diploma B, your child shows that he or she:
Can orientate themselves above water with clothes on, after an unexpected fall into the water, by treading water, swim a longer distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl), orient themselves underwater, and independently climb out of the water.
Can dive from the edge, orient themselves underwater, and swim through obstacles.
Has good fitness to cover a longer distance with one or more of the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl).
Can execute the four swimming strokes (breaststroke, elementary backstroke, front crawl, back crawl) with technical competence over a longer distance.
Can swim towards a floating object and float on it to rest, and float on the back. Your child feels comfortable in the water.
Can tread water with arms and legs, simultaneously move, and can sink themselves towards the bottom.
Standard Examination Program for National Swimming Diploma A
B1 Survival Test
Enter the water backwards, followed by
Tread water for 15 seconds, followed by
Swim 50 meters, interrupted by swimming under a floating object once, and complete the test by
Independently climbing out of the water onto the edge
B2 Underwater Orientation Test
Dive from the edge, followed by (without resurfacing)
Swimming underwater through a hole in a vertically hanging canvas located 6 meters from the starting edge
B3 Endurance Swimming Test
25 meters of breaststroke, followed by
25 meters of elementary backstroke, followed by
25 meters of breaststroke, followed by
25 meters of elementary backstroke, followed by
25 meters of breaststroke, followed by
25 meters of elementary backstroke, interrupted by 2 half turns around the longitudinal axis (from back to stomach and from stomach to back)

Jump into the water with a jump of choice, followed by
Floating on the back for 15 seconds, followed by
Propelling oneself headward on the back for 5 meters using arms towards a floating object, followed by

Jump into the water with a jump of choice, followed by
